Customisable backpack company, Zacspeed, started selling more heaviliy online with a greater online presence
Zacspeed have been a long time client of mine, but more recently we began driving online engagement. This meant a redesign of their website, increasing the look and feel of their social media and creating Shopify website. With this came a newly developed aesthetic, increased textual explanations about products, and a dynamic visual that engaged customers across Australia and the world.
Wordpress website for Zacspeed had one key ingredient, setting the tone and visual for the brand
Crucial to the development of the Zacspeed brand was the development of the website on Wordpress. We wanted this to do the bulk of product explaning, setting the mood, have aesthetics that were unmatched in the industry. Because Zacspeed use the Configr8 system, a feature which allows interchangable packs and harnesses, it was important to explain just how these worked. What needs to be said about the Melbourne based brand is that their desire to create quality product for a niche is unmatched. Diving into the motocross, adventure pack lifestyle is what ZacSpeed is all about, and the website reflected that. It's more than a sales pitch, that's for sure, it sets a mood and visual that's appealing for a browse at the very least.
The visual of ZacSpeed is that which is unique, bold and encourages living life.
Shopify sites that allow users to continue the flow of the site, and easily make a purchase
Lets face it, once a viewer decides to buy a product, all they want to do is have an easy checkout experience. This is why we split the Wordpress and Shopify site. The Shopify aspect of the site does just that – allows loyal and new customers to make the purchase easily.
Still, the visual of ZacSpeed is retained. The encouragement of adventure is there. We want everyone to get out and ride, to experience the world and to develop new skills. This business is very different, it's a lifestyle.
Social Media aesthetic that drives engagement and relates back to the visual of the website
Nothing urks me more than a social media feed that doesn't relate back to the brand. As a designer, you put in so much effort to create a brand visual like a logo, aesthetic, guide, colourshceme and then it's not followed. The marketing touchpoint (such as Facebook and Instagram) mightn't retain the same visual.
This isn't the case for ZacSpeed, who continue to engage with me for their social media design. We created conmsistent posts – hundreds of them – to develop a trustworthy, economoical and routine visual for customers. We corresponded with users and encouraged activity, not so much the sale of product. With the design and engagement in place, we saw many returning and new customers.
Have you outgrown your branding?
Time to launch into the next phase (or, if you're just starting, that's fine too)!
