Research local area, and design logo for new gym in Lismore, NSW.
New gym franchise logo design, with a different look and feel to the competition.
Elevate Fitness is a new gym located in the town of Lismore, in New South Wales. In fact, Lismore is around a 9 hour drive from Sydney. However, the town boasts multiple gyms, and it was my task to create a logo for Elevate Fitness to create it's own aesthetic away from the competition in the area.
Designing a high performance logo for a gym
It’s important to assess and consider the logos of surrounding gyms in the Lismore area. My research shows me these being some of the businesses in the area, whether it’s a franchise like F45 or an independent gym. Part of the branding goal should be to allow the Elevate Fitness logo to feel as though it is new, and of a high quality.
Other considerations such as price point and building trust that the gym can be relied on by locals is also important.
Allowing Elevate Fitness to look and feel different to their competition is so important. It allows customers to view them differently, without attached stigma.
A powerful brand for a local gym startup
The logo design for Elevate has a high focus on the company name ‘elevate’ within the symbol, where the sharp-strake edges allow for the forward and upward movement. Creating a sense of meaning behind the symbol equates to move and progress in an upward motion, whilst still being strong and bold. The logotype is very clear, clean and also bold. It’s simulates a no fuss mantra, getting to work and getting things done mind-set.Have you outgrown your branding?
