Logo Design for emergency exit lighting & battens manufacturer
Considered logo redesign and rebrand, for Melbourne-based lighting company
Emergency lighting company, Clevertronics, were already well entrenched in the Australian market prior to their logo redesign. In fact, I'd already worked closely with Clevertronics for years prior to their redesign. However, due to expansion of the company, and growth into areas such as New Zealand and the United Kingdom, their previous logo wasn't demonstrating how reputable the company was.Expansion of the company, quality focus and a global brand with a big future were the focus.
A substantial realignment of the brand, while retaining existing brand elements
A large focus for me for the redesign and realignment of the Clevertronics logo, was to retrain the basic overall shape of the symbol. I enhanced the emphasis of the 'C' and added a more geometric, 'global' vision of the company straight into the symbol.
With a large degree of modern elements, a revised typeface and colour scheme (while retaining the existing green and blue) were top priority.
Socio-economic grouping for Clevertronics is somewhat broad, but the main clientele include large scale companies. These include Optus Stadium, MCG, Marvel Stadium, Sofitel Brisbane, Sutherland Hospital NSW, Coles Group, Westminister Abbey, and so on (actually their client list is quite incredible).
It has to be noted that their main products of sale include exit emergency lighting, batten lighting – these are products which businesses need trust in. Emphasis on trustworthiness for the Clevertronics logo was a high priority for me as a designer, instilling this into the customer from the outset.
