1. What do you sell?

Companies and individuals hire me to develop their businesses image through print and digital design. Both parties typically share the same end goal – to give the company an identity which is inline with the type of work they do or product they sell. The link below demonstrates what some of these things might be, it can range from one or two fields to all fields.

You can find a range of design collateral I produce here.

2. How much do you charge?

A question I get asked a lot! This varies based on what type of work needs to be done with time being the main calculating factor. I don’t have any set pricing where a logo costs $X and a brochure $Y, as I don’t believe in a ‘one size fits all’ approach to the project. I’m more than happy to send a quote or give an estimation when I know more specific information about the project/s.

3. Other designers charge less, is it possible to match them?

No. Having freelanced for a while now, each designer has different values and conditions of work, most of which vary a great deal. My rate is based on my conditions and the quality of work I create.

4. We’re in a different country than you. Will it be a hassle?

I have a good balance of local, national and international clients who I deal with and it’s never been an issue. I love using email so I have a record of the job information and progression. For a quote, I generally get back to you within 24 hours during the week.

5. How long does it take for a project to be completed?

The timeframe of a project depends heavily on the brief and job requirements. This can be discussed before I send the quote to you. Does it influence the quote? Not often, but sometimes if the deadline is very tight, then it will. You will know before the project begins if it is a rush job or not.

6. Can you begin working now?

This depends on the amount of work I have at the time, which does fluctuate. I never want to compromise on jobs I currently have going, and they take first priority. For really urgent jobs, I do enforce a rush fee.

7. What do I receive at the end of the project?

Depends on the type of job, the type of file/s you receive as a client differs. If it’s a print based job, an EPS or PDF file ready for your printer is ideal. For web based jobs, anything from a GIF to PNG, JPG and sometimes even a PSD if I feel like it’s required for your programmer.

8. Can you help with printing / high-end website programming / video editing?

Absolutely! These aren’t things which I do myself, but I have contacts in these particular fields who are more than happy to get the work done for you.

9. How do you accept payment?

The majority of my projects require an up-front payment of 50%. This is required particularly for new clients more so than existing ones. The remaining 50% of the job is paid before completion and artwork is sent to you. I accept bank transfer and PayPal.
